Dennis was born in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, but, at the age of 14 he was sent to a boarding school in England. He did Medicine at the University of Leeds. Jennifer was born in Bradford, England and later did her Public Health Nursing at the University of Leeds. They immigrated to Canada in 1972 to the village of Milverton, Ontario where Dennis was its sole resident doctor until 1979. Then, they came to Oakville, Ontario to begin their practice in Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy. In the course of their studies, Dennis was a student of the late Milton H. Erickson, M.D. of Phoenix, Arizona. Their clinical practice was to become their research laboratory into the fields of Applied Epistemology, Applied Ontology, Applied Linguistics, Applied Semantics and Applied Philosophy. All these findings have critical and useful functions in Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy. As published authors, their work, Don’t Ask WHY?! is published by the firm ofJunfermann Verlag, Paderborn, Germany: Their critical and seminal work in Hypnosis is entitled, The Knife Without Pain.
