Whatever is VIRTUAL is NOT in conscious awareness.

Since it is out of conscious awareness, i.e. it is in the unconscious, the person has no control over it.

This now means that the virtual item has a truly significant power over the person.

This is no different to the unconscious structure that drives him to smoke, drink, his abusiveness and so forth.
